How to send access credentials to a user
As an administrator, you can send access credentials to a user (or multiple users at once) from Settings > Users. The operation you use depends on the platform the user needs to access:
- SmartOSH (main application): operation Send email for password change.
- My SmartOSH (employee portal): operation Send credentials for MySmartOSH.
Common steps
Section titled “Common steps”The sending process is identical for both platforms; only the operation executed changes:
- Access SmartOSH and go to Settings > Users.
- Select the person (or people) to whom you want to send the credentials.
- Go to Operations and click on the corresponding operation:
- Send email for password change for SmartOSH credentials.
- Send credentials for MySmartOSH for My SmartOSH credentials.
Content of the received email
Section titled “Content of the received email”Regardless of the chosen operation, the recipient receives an email with:
- The access URL to the corresponding platform.
- Their username.
- A link to change / reset the password.
Password link validity
Section titled “Password link validity”SmartOSH
Section titled “SmartOSH”The validity of the password change link starts at the moment the email is sent and lasts for the number of days configured in:
Settings > Customisation > Password > Send email for password change (in days).
My SmartOSH
Section titled “My SmartOSH”The validity of the password reset option is indicated directly in the message itself that the user receives.
