How to send access credentials to a user

As an administrator, you can send access credentials to a user (or multiple users at once) from Settings > Users. The operation you use depends on the platform the user needs to access:

  • SmartOSH (main application): operation Send email for password change.
  • My SmartOSH (employee portal): operation Send credentials for MySmartOSH.

The sending process is identical for both platforms; only the operation executed changes:

  1. Access SmartOSH and go to Settings > Users.
  2. Select the person (or people) to whom you want to send the credentials.
  3. Go to Operations and click on the corresponding operation:
    • Send email for password change for SmartOSH credentials.
    • Send credentials for MySmartOSH for My SmartOSH credentials.

Regardless of the chosen operation, the recipient receives an email with:

  • The access URL to the corresponding platform.
  • Their username.
  • A link to change / reset the password.

The validity of the password change link starts at the moment the email is sent and lasts for the number of days configured in:

Settings > Customisation > Password > Send email for password change (in days).

The validity of the password reset option is indicated directly in the message itself that the user receives.
