Dashboard of the Job Map
The Job Map dashboard offers you a 360° view of a job position: for the position (or positions) you select, it shows how many and which employees are assigned, and which activities, work teams, chemical agents, personal protective equipment (PPE) and training courses are related to it.
You will only see the positions of the companies, centres and sections to which you have access according to your user profile. Two different people may see different figures on the same dashboard, and that is expected.
Key concepts
Section titled “Key concepts”Before reviewing each element, it is useful to be clear about several concepts used throughout the dashboard.
The position as the axis. The entire dashboard revolves around the job position. Usually, one or more positions are selected in the scope tree and the rest of the panels show everything associated with that selection. Without a selection, the panels reflect the set of positions you have access to.
The position’s relationships. Each position can have six different associated items, each corresponding to a card and, in most cases, a table:
| Relationship | What it represents |
|---|---|
| Employees | The people assigned to the position. |
| Activities | The activities linked to the position. |
| Teams | The work teams associated with the position. |
| Chemical agents | The chemical agents present in the position. |
| Types of PPE | The types of personal protective equipment required in the position. |
| Courses | The training courses related to the position. |
Unique count. Each card counts unique elements (employees, activities, teams…). Even if the same activity or team appears associated via several routes, it is counted only once.
Only active elements. This dashboard shows only active elements: active companies, centres, sections and positions and, within them, the activities, teams, chemical agents, PPE, courses and employee assignments that are active. Anything deactivated or inactive does not appear or count.
Tags. Tags (tokens) are marks that can be assigned to the organisational structure and its elements. A position inherits the tags of its company, centre and section, as well as its own and those of its related elements.
Scope permissions. The dashboard only includes positions from the companies, centres and sections to which you have access. Therefore, two users with different permissions may see different figures.
Chained filters. All filters and selections are applied simultaneously across all panels. When selecting a position in the tree, all cards and tables recalculate to show only what is associated with that position.
Filters
Section titled “Filters”On the left side you will find the filters. Both include a search box to quickly locate values.
| Filter | What it allows you to narrow down |
|---|---|
| Scope | The organisational structure, in tree form: company → centre → section → position. You can select any level; for example, an entire centre or a specific position. Only active elements are shown. |
| Tag | Positions marked with certain tags. |
Indicator cards
Section titled “Indicator cards”In the central area there are six cards, one for each position relationship. Each shows the number of unique elements associated with the selection and a small trend graph (sparkline).
Employees
Section titled “Employees”Number of employees assigned to the selected position(s). Counts unique people with an active assignment to the position.
Activities
Section titled “Activities”Number of distinct activities related to the position.
Number of distinct work teams associated with the position.
Chemical agents
Section titled “Chemical agents”Number of distinct chemical agents present in the position.
Types of PPE
Section titled “Types of PPE”Number of distinct types of personal protective equipment required in the position.
Courses
Section titled “Courses”Number of distinct training courses related to the position.
Related elements tables
Section titled “Related elements tables”Next to the cards, several tables detail which specific elements lie behind each count. All show the code and name of each element and are interactive: selecting one or more rows narrows the rest of the dashboard to those elements.
| Table | What it lists | Columns |
|---|---|---|
| Related activities | The position’s activities. | Activity code and name. |
| Related teams | The position’s work teams. | Team code and name. |
| Related chemical agents | The position’s chemical agents. | Chemical agent code and name. |
| Related types of PPE | The position’s types of PPE. | PPE type code and name. |
| Related courses | The position’s training courses. | Course code and name. |
Frequently asked questions
Section titled “Frequently asked questions”Why don’t I see a position, centre or employee that I know exists?
This dashboard only shows active elements. If a position, centre, employee or any related element is inactive or deactivated, it does not appear. Also check that it is within your scope of permissions.
What happens if I don’t select any position?
The panels show the set of all positions you have access to. Select one or more positions in the scope tree to focus the map on them.
Why doesn’t the employees card match the total employees of the position?
The card counts unique employees with an active assignment to the position within your scope of permissions. If an employee does not have an active assignment, or is outside your scope, they are not counted.
Does an activity (or team, PPE…) associated via several routes count multiple times?
No. All counts count unique elements, so each activity, team, chemical agent, PPE or course counts only once even if related by more than one path.
Why do my figures not match those of a colleague?
The dashboard applies each user’s scope permissions: only positions from companies, centres or sections you have access to are included. Two users with different permissions will see different figures.
