Introduction to Change Management

Change management is a fundamental process in any organisation and a requirement of the International Standard ISO 45001 (clause 8.1.3). It involves implementing an occupational health and safety system where any ongoing project can be improved and has constant maintenance needs.

From the Change Management module of Smart OSH you can:

  • Diagnose the current situation of your organisation.
  • Design the desired system.
  • Implement the target situation quickly and efficiently.

The expected outcomes in any change management are:

  • Make decisions with the interrelation of different responsible parties quickly.
  • Define and respond to an improvement process.
  • Implement an occupational health and safety system efficiently.
  • Detect the organisation’s risks and opportunities easily.

The complete process is structured around five states that are automatically linked as the responsible parties carry out their actions:

  1. Draft → the request is created and the information completed.
  2. Created → authorisation for planning is requested.
  3. Planning → documentation and execution authorisation are requested.
  4. Execution → checks are requested after execution.
  5. Start-up → final start-up authorisation is requested.
