How to create training needs for a course

Training needs are generated from the relationships you link between a course and the different areas of the organisation (companies, centres, positions, etc.). When an employee enters one of these areas, Smart OSH detects that they need to complete the course and creates the corresponding training need.

  1. Go to Training and informationConfigurationCourses and enter the corresponding course.
  2. Open the Relationships tab, enter the tab of the area to which you want to link the course, and click Link.
  3. Select the record(s) you want to include and click Accept.
  4. Click Save on the course detail screen.

You can link the course to any of the following areas:

  • Companies
  • Centres
  • Sections
  • Positions
  • Roles
  • Activities
  • Equipment and installations
  • Chemical agents
  • Types of PPE
  • Employees

Training needs are created deferred, not immediately. The automatic recalculation runs twice a day: at midday and at night.

If you need to generate needs without waiting for the automatic recalculation, use the Recalculate needs operation, available:

  • On the Course detail screen.
  • On the Courses list screen.

You can check the generated training needs from:

  • The Training needs tab within the Course detail.
  • The Training needs tab within the Employee detail.
  • The Training needs relationship screen.
