Risk Factors Dashboard

The Risk Factors dashboard provides an overview of the status of the identified risk factors: how many are open, how many are overdue, their distribution by status, type and origin, and how their opening and closing evolves over time.

You will only see data from the companies, sites, sections and positions you have access to according to your user profile. Two different people may see different figures on the same dashboard, and this is expected.

Before reviewing each element, it is useful to clarify several concepts used throughout the dashboard.

Risk factor. This is the unit counted in this dashboard. Each factor is counted only once, even if it has several associated tags or scopes that could multiply the rows internally.

Open and closed. A factor is considered closed when its official status is Closed. Any other status (Not started, In progress, Pending closure or Cancelled) is considered open for the purposes of the open counters.

Overdue. A factor is overdue when its due date has passed (negative days remaining until expiry) and it is still open.

SmartIndex. This is the index that assesses the criticality of the risk factor. The dashboard shows its average value.

Status. In addition to the open/closed classification, each factor has a configurable status (the name shown in the “by status” charts).

Risk type. Classification of the risk according to its nature (shown in the “by risk type” chart).

Origin. Indicates where the risk factor originates: risk assessment, accident investigation, safety visit, participation, questionnaire, meeting, claim, survey, ergonomic study or drill.

Active elements. The charts and tables take into account whether the company, site, section, position, activity or team are still active, so as not to mix current structure with deactivated structure.

Scope permissions. The dashboard only includes factors from the companies, sites, sections and positions you have access to.

Chained filters. All filters are applied simultaneously to all charts, cards and tables.

On the left side you will find the filters. Most allow multiple selection and include a search box.

% ClosurePercentage of closed factors.Closed factors ÷ total factors.
TotalsTotal factors of the site.Count of factors.

Average SmartIndexAverage criticality of the site.Average of the SmartIndex.

Shows the month-by-month evolution of the cumulative number of open factors (by their start date) and closed factors (by their closing date), along with the cumulative average SmartIndex on a secondary axis.

The same information without accumulation: how many factors open and close each month, with the average SmartIndex of the month.

Does a cancelled factor count as closed?
No. In this dashboard only factors whose status is Closed are considered “closed”; cancelled factors are counted among the open ones.

Which date is used in the date filter?
The factor’s start date.

Why does a closed factor not appear as overdue?
Because only factors that remain open and whose due date has passed are considered overdue.

Why do my figures not match those of a colleague?
The dashboard applies each user’s scope permissions: only factors from the companies, sites, sections and positions you have access to are included.
